I attended day one of the Art for All Canada conference at Metro Hall in Toronto and was very pleased with the event. The day started off with a catwalk show of artist with their artwork which I didn’t participate in but enjoyed watching. I should have a link to a youtube video of this soon.
The workshops were very informative, I attended public relations and community volunteerism by Ben Benedict and marketing yourself and your artwork by Suzie B, both of which helped me formulate my own plans for furthering myself in the art community. Another interesting workshop was photographing your artwork by Kevin Backs where I leaned quite a few photography techniques and how to use the manual settings on my camera which was very useful indeed.
Golden Acrylics were present with a display, lots of free samples and more importantly their rep spent a good amount of time speaking with me and teaching me so much useful information on how to use paints properly and all the supporting additives which help me get much more from my paint. I learned so much from him.
I will have the Focus Painting on display in Metro Hall Toronto from March 5-12. The show also has the work of about 100 other contemporary and traditional artists, please check it out if you are in the area.
