Half a Blue

cerulean blue taped

I am just over the halfway mark with the cerulean blue painting. Here are some before and after photos I took while removing the tape. I am generally pleased with how it is turning out but it seems that the transition to the darkest tones is a bit abrupt and I will need to do quite a bit of tweaking at the end to smooth it out. It is almost of if my mixed colours settled in their jars and lightened up.

I also had the tape  randomly remove some spots of paint which will need to be touched up, I think I need to let the paint cure for a few days before I tape it up again to prevent that from happening again.
