Primus 3D concert review – Sat June 8

Posted

What an awesome concert, Primus delivers yet again (my 3rd or 4th show). My first 3D concert experience was amazing (I could only imagine if the Grateful Dead or Pink Floyd had this 3D technology at their disposal what they would do). I was also very happy to pick up the Primus limited edition poster for my concert poster collection (I just started it).  It was also nice to see Salad Fingers on the screen during the first song.

This was my first show at the Danforth Music Hall and I had no complaints, a great venue, the sound was good and clear, and the seats were comfy.

I just discovered that Primus plays different shows in consecutive shows, if I had of known before hand I would have gone both nights (they played my favourite song, “The Toys Go Winding Down” on the first night.. sniff).

Here is the setlist:

Set 2
Those Damned Blue-Collar Tweekers
Duchess and the Proverbial Mind Spread
Extinction Burst
Frizzle Fry
Over the Falls
Tragedy’s a’ Comin’
Bob
Jerry Was a Race Car Driver

Set 2
HOINFODAMAN (Rush’s “The Trees” intro)
Dirty Drowning Man
The Pressman
Eternal Consumption Engine
Jilly’s on Smack
Eleven (w/drum intro)
Del Davis Tree Farm
Hamburger Train
Harold of the Rocks

Encore:
Fisticuffs
Tommy the Cat
