Self portrait of Justin Blayney is complete

Posted

It has been a slow summer for creating art, I have spent most of my time showing my artwork in and around the Toronto area. I have just completed a pixelated self portrait in squares and I am feeling kind of on the fence about it. So I will leave it here for now, all comments and feedback are welcome. It is 36 inches squares and acrylic on canvas. I included the bamboo and table to give it some perspective. Up close it is very abstract and it is very hard to see any image.

One thing I am happy about is that I figured out a way to create more accuracy when painting the squares. I am using painting blind when using squares because of the massive  amounts of taping required.
